Oncology Club, Bangladesh — “a platform for all, fighting against cancer”. It is also the founder and Bangladesh chapter of the South Asian Association For  Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Federation of Oncologists (SFO), the only platform of Oncologists recognised by the SAARC secretariat. This organisation was created under the leadership of Late Emeritus Prof. ABMF Karim in 1996 and was registered by the Ministry of Social welfare .This organisation is moving forward with the aim and objectives of improving oncological care, oncological services & oncological set up in the country to ensure quality cancer treatment & care for the ailing cancer patients of the country. It is organising regularcontinuing medical education(CME) and taking different initiatives to improve the skills and expertise of cancer care providers with local resources and also by collaborating with international agencies like International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Till now twenty week long National Training Program is arranged with the technical support from IAEA for Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and Radiation therapy technologist.

Every year Oncology Club arrange Cancer Congress covering all the major disciplines of cancer management. Around six hundred plus delegates attend this congress every year with presence of significant number foreign faculties.

Oncology club also supports physicians involved in cancer management for some overseas training to different advance centres.

Conference arranged are often endorsed by ASCO, ESTRO,IAEA . Since 2016 Oncology Club is recognised by ESMO as their counterpart for the ESMO Asia.
